What will you be working on?
There are start-ups, and then there is Mybestseller… We are an independent Dutch company, one of the key players in the fast rising world of self-publishing of printed books and e-books. During the last three years, Mybestseller had a triple digit growth on a yearly base. We are in the process of developing a disruptive mobile platform for community-based reading and writing on a global scale. It enables everybody to share their writer’s passion with the world, to discover millions of stories and to interact with their favorite writers.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Developing and maintaining a system that offers the required functionality and follows defined parameters. We expect the system to achieve at least 99.9% uptime and to be able to support millions of users globally and to easily expand processing capacity.
- Handling the security and integrity of all data associated with the platform (including facilitating responsible backup methodology).
- Maintaining strict testing and deployment processes for new releases.
Who are we looking for?
Required skills
- Expert experience with both NoSQL and MySQL technology
- Expert experience with system architecture design
- Experience with Java & PHP
- Ability to integrate system backend with native mobile applications
- Can take responsibility for systems that are online 24/7 and have 100.000+ users
