Full time Position: Application Developer - Enterprise Integration-Technical Lead(Tibco, large enterprise experience)-Minneapolis-MN
The Technical Lead (Engineer, Application Development) is a member of the Enterprise Integration delivery team and will be responsible for providing technical expertise and functional knowledge to design, develop and implement secure integrated IT/Business solutions. The purpose of this role is to drive appropriate technical solutions for application integration; view alternatives from an end-to-end integrated perspective and understand the broader implications of technical and business related choices. This person interacts with and must be able to influence other managers, directors and partners throughout the organization.
This position will play a role on Enterprise Integration team and will be working in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment. The role will be responsible for the technical and architectural direction of multiple services platforms and will drive the long-term roadmap for a number of Integration capabilities. This position will also lead and provide direction to a variety of development teams.
Key position responsibilities include:
- Provide an architecture roadmap for a number of integrated technology platforms
- Oversee the software design and components for all new development efforts
- Interact with various application teams to understand the IT system integration needs and define an appropriate solution based on integration standards
- Drive reusability of existing integration and drive the standardized usage of patterns
- Provide input to the cross system integration design
- Provide direction and guidance for the software development teams
- Understand and document the technical specifications/limitations including application capacity
- Support testing activities by assisting in root cause analysis and by providing recommendations to resolve all known issues
- Support service introduction of new releases into production by providing technical knowledge transfer to the support teams
- Create the technical components of the deployment plan and lead the technical team through the deployment process
- Provide input into TCO optimization
- Partner with all project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the projects
- Team and mentor teammates on agile practices and SDLC best practices
- Review and approve functional specifications created by delivery project teams
- Develop and maintain long-term business domain knowledge
- Effectively partner and/or lead teams with various staffing models of internal and external onshore and offshore resources in order to deliver successful solutions
- Responsible for maintaining solution integrity through the project and in Operations, including controlling scope, managing solutions for change requests and clarifying solution capabilities during all delivery phases
- Provide Level 3 Operational assistance when dealing with High and Critical severity defects in production. Be willing and ready to answer production related calls from Service Management.
The candidate seeking this role must have the ability to quickly understand the applications within the integration area and all of the systemsâ behaviors and interactions. In addition, this person must be able to tackle macro level problems and dive into the different parts of the systems effectively as necessary
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
5-7 years related experience with Bachelors degree
Hands on experience with software code in both web and client/server environments in at minimum one language using the following: Java, Tibco, any of the middleware technologies like Websphere Broker
Working knowledge of Java, Spring, and other open source technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of NoSQL databases
Tibco; large enterprise experience
