We (wpkonsulterna.se) focus on WordPress maintenance and development in a business environment, producing conventional websites that also leverage the power of WordPress as a robust application platform, for example in booking systems and internal tools.
We are based in Stockholm Sweden and our customers and partners, such as small/medium sized companies and marketing agencies, are typically also located in this area.
About the job
We are looking for a half-time designer and front-end developer, 20 hours per week, who could join our team and would be involved in a variety of different tasks:
• Website design for both client and internal projects
• Help out with testing and actively give UI feedback
• Participate in custom WordPress development, mainly front-end related tasks
Aside from typical tasks as above you will also participate in:
• Recurring meetings to communicate progress/obstacles and discuss how we can improve our processes etc (2 hours/week + 15 min/day)
• Help others with any smaller or bigger obstacles that could arise
• Continue learning and improving skills through codeschool.com
Compensation
Hourly rate after negotiation paid through odesk, approximately 20 hours/week with possibility to increase to 40 hours/week in the future. Then gradually increased rate during coming 6 months working together.

An applicant may work from anywhere, but must be available for videoconferencing on Google Hangouts and so needs a good internet connection and the appropriate hardware for video chat.
They also must be available for periodic video conferences scheduled during Swedish office hours.
Where do we go from here?
We've started a recruitment process through multiple channels and will interview and evaluate candidates ongoing to find a shortlist of interesting candidates. After that we will perform a smaller paid test project with the most interesting candidates to better understand who would fit best in to our organization.
We aim at making a decision on who to work with within the coming weeks.
