Help to solve some admin-side problems after a wordpress migration - oDesk

We have migrated our development site onto a live platform, and the site seems to work fine. However, there are a number of serious problems with the admin interface:

- often admin pages don't load and result in a 404 error

- working with a premium theme: it is impossible to use the visual editor to edit form elements: the editor is stuck on the loading screen

- often changes made to plugin data from their settings sections are not saved. for example, removing the name fields from a newsletter signup form. it does not save in the database

- A querry on pingdom.com shows that front-end page load times are slowed heavily by a long response time from an ajax-admin file.

I need someone who has experience working specifically with speeding up wordpress websites, particularily the admin interface.

Please, if you don't have a lot of experience with these problems don't apply. We need someone who can do this quickly and effectively.
