This is will be really simply, but effective work.
I need someone to help look over a list of less than 50 websites to help me write JUST ONE LINE of introductory copy to a pitch email. These pitch emails will help us promote our Kickstarter in a way that is relevant to the blog.
Simply put, you'll look at the website and help us write the first line to the email that sets up the connection to our Kickstarter and their site. For instance, if were trying to sell basketball shoes, and we reached out to Complex Magazine (an urban lifestyle blog), the first line would be:
"We love your blog and love connecting with fellow sneaker heads".
The following line after the intro reads,
"Because of that, we hope you have 1 minute to read this email."
The copy needs to feel personal, in the know, and as if we're a big fan of this site. The opening line of copy needs to feel like a major nod to what likeminded people would say to one another. It's basically the reason why this person will read the rest of the email.
The copy must be written as if you're trying to promote a Kickstarter campaign you poured your heart into. But you want to offer up the concept of this story as if you're sharing something with someone like you.
THE KICKSTARTER PROJECT IS ABOUT ORGANIC, SUSTAINABLE, AND HEALTHY FOOD. It's ethnically focused, but geared towards the person who wants to eat healthier, better, and pay a better fair trade price for their food.
