Finance App Brief
Overview
A webapp to automate the transmission of report data to and from Quickbooks and pipelinedeals.com. The aim of this app is to obviate the need to export XLS files multiple times between Quickbooks Online, pipelinedeals and the end-user to create forecast and management summary reports.
The app also allows the user to import his/her custom report and manipulate the data in them and export/save the results as a CSV/XLS file.
A browser-based reporting tool that lets the end-user:
Browse reports pulled from Quickbooks Online, pipelinedeals, and CSV/XLS files that the user imports
Manipulate the reports by adding custom columns to create forecasts
Save reports locally
Export reports as CSV/XLS files
Create summary reports that incorporate calculated values from other reports
I. Technical requirements
The app must be able to synchronize data with Quickbooks Online.
The app must be able to synchronize data from pipelinedeals.com API
The app must be able to read/write reports based on a custom schema.
The app must be browser-based and work across all modern browsers
The frontend should display the report information in a tabular format (rows and columns) with the correct mapping as per the data received from the APIs.
The frontend must allow for the addition/removal of columns by the end user
The frontend must allow for editing values in the custom columns that are created by the end user.
The frontend must have simple controls such as:
Syncing data with APIs
Saving data to local data store
Adding/removing columns to create custom reports
Exporting reports as CSV/XLS
Filtering of data based on some criteria. e.g: transaction date, transaction status (paid or unpaid)
Budget: $500
