Project Manager Needed to Help Me Run my Online Marketing Ventures (Blogging, SEO, and a product to help launch) - oDesk

Before you apply: I am looking for an American or Canadian person only (also UK). Just the way it is on this one, it's a big job and necessary for me to be able to communicate perfectly with applicant.



Job Description: I currently have 5 active and ranking simple websites that generate affiliate commissions but need maintenance, 2 blogs that are 'high-end' and need help maintaining, 2 of my own (very small) businesses to launch, and other various projects. I need someone to keep these projects and websites moving forward because it is becoming too much for me to manage myself.



Pay: Eventual goal is to pay someone $3,000 a month for 40 hours a week. May not be the highest salary, but A. it's a legitimate, honest-to-god work from home job and B. these types of jobs are based more on results than hours, so you will most likely end up working less than full time but I will be fine paying for the 40 hours as long as everything is running smoothly. Also a few of these projects have potential to turn into something huge, and you will be in on the ground floor.



BUT the person I choose from this posting will be offered 2 weeks of work. 15 hours a week for $15/hour for a total of $450. Basically 3 hours a day, Monday-Friday for 2 weeks. First 2 days will be skype calls and other general training and introductions to freelancers. The next 8 will be you starting to manage my projects; thinks like handling the little jobs that needs to be done, getting processes going, and doing some preliminary organizing of project/website status, tasks, goals etc. After that, depending on how things go, I will either end the contract with no hard feelings or bad ratings, or we will add a new contract for $3000 a month and you will have a steady salary and fun work.



Skills/Experience Information



Required:

1.Managerial Experience in some way, shape, or form (Share your management history in your cover letter, I am not afraid to think outside the box so share anything that may be applicable. If you don't do this, I'm not considering you)

2. Wordpress experience (posting, making theme changes, widgets etc)

3. Strong command of English language, ability to communicate well

4. General SEO knowledge (how rankings work, backlinks, simple stuff)



Desired:

1. Mindset/History of Online Marketing - You have had experience in marketing things online before. I don't care what things, I don't care how they were marketed. There is just a certain level of understanding specific to marketing online that is required to understand what is needed to make my projects successful.

OR

2. Heavy Managerial Mindset/History - You have managed large groups of people or just have a good sense of how to keep things organized organization-wide.



If you have either of these "Desired" traits, please expound upon them in application.



Please tell me why you would be a good fit for managing my online projects. I didn't go into too much detail about what I do since this is public, but think outside the box about how you can help me get processes going for continued success. I have the recipe and the tools, but need somebody to run the bakery efficiently. If you have a good application, we'll talk further.
