Hello everyone,
I am currently looking for a C++ developer to add to my server side game development team.
As a C++ developer in my team, you will help to develop the logic for game features in our MMORPG. You will contribute to the game with your own ideas for implementations, architecture design, first level testing and getting rid of those nasty bugs your colleagues added to the game just to annoy you. All team members work on a flexible time schedule basis with the exception of 1-2 hours a week for regular team meetings. Since we are planning for a long-term engagement, this position would be open-end.
In this position you will:
* Plan and develop new game systems, collaborating with the team
* Assist in fixing issues and refactor old code
* Provide documentation for your contributions
* Assist in preparing the server for upcoming releases; Beta, live release
To contribute in an effective manner you will need:
* 4+ years of experience in C++
* Experience working with SQL (mySQL)
* Preferably specific experience in developing server side features
* Preferably specific experience in the gaming industry
* Computer Science degree or similar experience
* Experience working in a multithreaded environment
* Experience working with Visual Studio
* Ability to work in a large-scale project environment
* Ability to speak and write proper English
* Ability to work independently and take initiative where needed
* Experience with GIT and JIRA is preferred
* Gaming (MMO) experience is preferred
