Assistant, Creator and Salesperson - oDesk

I am looking for a person to fill in a position for assistant, creator and salesperson job.





Talents:

1) Great listening, questioning and tracking skills.

2) Emotional rapport with clients with unusual presence.

3) Engineering/discipline/achieving goals.

4) Excellent follow through and detail orientation.

5) Pro-active communication and asking for help when needed.

6) Team-building.

7) Passion for helping others (small-business owners/landscapers).



Experience:

1) Basic to extensive understanding of gardening/landscaping.

2) Experience running a small business.

3) Experience selling service/information for self or someone else.

4) Have hired and managed 1-5 people in prior roles.



Skills (the more the better):

1) Editing books.

2) Copy-writing.

3) Video-editing.

4) Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

5) Web-site building.

6) Research and analysis in the landscape field.

7) Building ongoing relationships with several sets of people.

8) Writing newsletters.

9) Coaching others on how to apply information and encouraging them in helpful ways.

10) If you are terrific with PHP and challenging websites we can hire you full time since we need a lot of work done in that area.



Needed Resources:

1) Landline with voicemail.

2) Fast computer with DSL or cable internet.

3) Skype



Cashflow mindset:

We are starting a business that has been and will continue to lose money for the next year as we make many long-term investments in what will be a successful company in the next 2-5 years. We will pay $15./hr. as a base salary or work on a 50% commission for any work generated. We can work together to create positive cash-flow as soon as possible in the understanding that we can extend your hours and increase wages as we make a go of things. We can commit to $500. per month at this stage without you making a single sale of service or product. As you are successful in selling things and thus bringing money into the company for products and services in place we can apply that money and move towards full time work. Also, some sales will generate more work for you such as editing and helping landscapers create a book using our template. That's where the editing, photoshop and In-Design skills are helpful.



Working hours:

Must be available 8am-5pm for appointments made at others convenience within those hours. However, need not work continuously within those hours. For example, you could set three fixed appointments at 9am, 12:30pm and 4:00pm for phone calls with a client but then do personal errands in between.



Payment:

Promptly every two weeks upon submitting detailed invoice.
