Implement and validate location and orientation fusion algos in Matlab/Octave. If you feel brave help implement them in C++/Java.
We're an automotive start-up looking for very smart, creative individuals with hands-on experience of sensor fusion to help us create cutting-edge mathematical driving models.
Specifically we're looking for people with strong maths and statistics and a background perhaps in robotics or drones who have experience with location and orientation fusion techniques, including:
> 9-axis IMU fusion, automated calibration routines and techniques.
> Implementing Kalman filters possibly EKF, UKF or particle filters as orientation/location estimators
> In particular we're looking to handle both sensors with gaussian-like (e.g. MEMS sensors) and fat-tail noise (e.g. GPS sensors).
It's anticipated the models will be written/validated in Matlab/Octave and and later implemented in C++/Java. We're primarily looking for the former skill-set, though the latter will be a bonus.
Kindly reply with relevant experience and I'll send over more information on the project.
Cheers,
Mark
