Custom Script for Tire Inventory System (rename file to scanned SN, move, re-size, and export) - oDesk

Hello there,



We currently have a requirement for a batch file to perform the following function for a used tire inventory / scanning situation:



1. Tire is inspected / repaired / cleaned

2. Serial number bar code sticker is applied to the tire

3. Photo of tire taken with external camera

4. Wifi card in the camera sends photo to a folder on a nearby PC.

5. Serial number on the tire scanned via barcode reader

6. Serial number becomes new photo file name.

7. Photo may need to be re-sized to meet web requirements (Gimp/imagequick)

8. Photo is moved to a new folder and ready for web

9. The script must be able to run without any additional user input after the scan.



Please respond with how long you expect this to take, and other similar work you have in your portfolio. We are looking to produce a testable product within a week.
