Hi, I have a Wordpress Directory theme which needs editing on the homepage.
Currently at the top of the homepage it has a large Google map. I want this map moved further down the page and at the top, I want to have a slider added which has a search box over it.
The search box has to be able to search through a large amount of categories (cities) within the site, so it's important the search box works effectively.

Attached is the type of search box required overlaying an image slider.
Also take into consideration that this theme will be updated over time, so these edits must be able to work when updating the theme, or made clear how to edit the code so that it can be implemented after upgrading the theme.
