Job Description:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone
- Train computer users e.g. changing outlook signature
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems
- Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
- Ask questions to determine nature of problem
- Walk customer through problem-solving process
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Clean up computers
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
- Install computer peripherals for users
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
Responsibilities:
- Recording incidents and requests on the IT Service Desk Ticketing System
- Answering any incoming calls and taking messages for any none technical queries (softphone provided)
- Providing remote support to customers as and when required(remote access software provided).
Required skills:
- Have at least 1 Year experience in providing remote/phone support to customers regarding technical issues
- Have good experience with Windows 7, Windows Server Domain environments
- Having MAC OSX experience is beneficial
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent vocal and written English skills
The successful IT Support Technician must have strong communicational skills and exposure to supporting a Windows Server and Desktop environments, and must be willing to learn and better their knowledge on the IT platform.
Job Interview:
Skype will be used to interview prospective applicants. Applicant must be on time for the scheduled interview and must have a good headset.
